Sr DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a Sr DevOps Engineer who is eager to building reliable and easy to use product platforms on private and public cloud infrastructure using third party, open source and bespoke software.We value innovative solutions that leverage a blend of technology, including third-party, open-source, and custom-developed software.

You will be responsible for:

• Technology Delivery: creating and documenting software solutions to meet articulated customer needs, in accordance with schedule, effort and quality requirements.
• Solution and Product Engineering: Working directly with customers as part of the product team to understand customer needs, articulate solutions and advise product managers on technical aspects of product development.
• L4 Engineering Support: providing advice and consultative support to the operations teams as they operate and maintain the production systems.
• Delivery Optimisation: creating technology and process frameworks to assist in the end of end delivery of the company's products.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME): You will be deeply qualified in one or more core technologies and provide suggestions for design improvements. You will be encouraged to ensure you remain up to date with your chosen core technologies.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:

• Experience operating or supporting production cloud solutions
• Advance level expertise and experience in one or more of the following: Git or other Version Control Management tool, Jenkins, Infrastructure as Code, Containers, (Kubernetes)
• Scripting languages: Bash, Python, Ruby.
• Experienced in design, develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines
• Highly developed skills with infrastructure and application automation tools: e.g. Chef, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform)
• Strong understanding of key networking services, protocols, OSI and TCP/IP models of network layers
• Experience designing and managing Linux environments including bash and or python
• Clear written and verbal communications skills
